All ticket ordering, reservations, and handling for The Wilmington Ballet’s The Nutcracker at The Playhouse on Rodney Square are facilitated by the Box Office of The Playhouse on Rodney Square. Kamani Abu Choreo Lab
Kamani Abu, an alum of The Wilmington Ballet Academy of the Dance and Pieces of A Dream Inc., is a graduate of William Penn High School who is making his mark on the national and international dance industry as a current member of the Ailey II company, and as a freelance choreographer.
The Kamani Abu Choreo Lab is an immersive experience that offers participants the opportunity to be a part of creating and performing a premier work with Mr. Abu , which will be performed at The Milton Theatre in Milton, Delaware, as a part of The Wilmington Ballet's annual presentation of new works, scheduled for April 16, 2026.
The Kamani Abu Choreo Lab will take place at The Wilmington Ballet on the following dates:
*11/10 7pm - 9pm*
*11/12 7pm - 9pm^
*11/15 6pm - 8pm*
*11/16 7pm - 9pm*
*11/17 7pm - 9pm*
*11/21 7pm - 9pm*
*11/24 7pm - 9PM*
Participation Fee : $125 includes ALL listed dates, available as a package only, not available as individual classes.
Participants encouraged to be available for all dates and times listed, but can still participate with minimal conflicts. All participants must be available for the scheduled technical rehearsals and performance.
Technical Rehearsals at The Wilmington Ballet and Milton Theater 12pm - 2pm , 4pm - 6pm April 16th , 2026
Performance Date April 16, 2026 The Milton Theatre 7PM Performance
Open to professional artists and Intermediate and Advanced level Youth and Adults minimum age 13 years old with Ballet , Contemporary, and Modern dance technique and experience in the local and surrounding regions.
