WE believe in Dancers first…

Wilmington Ballet provides a non-competitive, comprehensive dance education with its foundation focusing on the American (Balanchine and Joffrey) style of classical ballet. Additional classes in other ballet techniques, other dance disciplines, and related fields, creates exceptionally well-rounded, intelligent dancers.

This proven form of training gives dancers the best chance of future success in a competitive dance world. Almost all college, university, and professional ballet companies are now run by American style of ballet directors. The American style of training creates versatile, quick-learning, employable dancers.

"Our mission is to provide the best possible training and encourage each dancer to achieve his or her potential. We oversee every level and aspect of each dancer's unique physical and artistic development. We also train every teacher at Wilmington Ballet to teach with the most current methods, and safest practices. The dancer's health and well-being always comes first... when they're happy, everyone is happy." - Sara Neal, Associate Artistic Director

Details on the exact syllabus used in training are discussed during individual dancer/parent conferences with the directors every January. Please email us if you would like to schedule an additional conference.
